The Big Church web site provides four different language versions: English, Filipino, Portuguese, and Spanish. The match in this online dating site is primarily based on religious belief which is Christianity. This dedication to the religion can also be seen through the Bible verse at the bottom of the page upon entering. Furthermore, it has a Bible verse search engine which can search for passages from the three different versions of the Bible, as well as Bible commentaries.
It started its operation in 2000 and has since been an intermediary for people to meet friends, find romantic partners, or even for marriage. In addition, members can also be pen pals and Bible/prayer partners if they wish. It is part of a network of personals websites and not Christian-owned company. It uses Christianity as a common factor for members who want to join. It is actually a meeting site for Christians or even non-Christians.
Members can browse profiles and create their own. The registration profile asks general questions and not much religious question. There is also a magazine with topics on Christianity as well as general relationship topics and advices. The site is fairly easy to navigate and shows photos of online members at that time.

Big Church is a large community. The best part about Big Church is that it is non-denominational. That means that myself as an Angelican can meet a Catholic girl, which wouldn't be possible on a strictly one denomination website. From my experiences people are happy to chat and meet with people from different denominations through Big Church. | |

BigChurch is a very cool place for me to meet people with the same beliefs as myself. There is quite a large membership and heaps of men for me to pick through. | |
