How To Read A Personal Ad
Posted on 12/16/2009
Learning to read between the lines of a man's personal ad saves time and annoyance later on.
Here are a few tips i got from my own experience:
If a man feels the need to advertise the number of homes he has or the size of his bank account, his life centers around money, things, and transitory values.
A man who says he is 52 but looks 42 probably looks his age and is insecure.
A man whose ad tells you he has a great sense of humor, but who has written the ad without an ounce of wit, is probably not all that hilarious after all but maybe this lack is not a deal breaker for you.
Men fib about their height, just as women fudge about their weight. To get an accurate picture of a new man's true height, deduct two inches from the number he gives you.
A man whose ad says he want "fun", "companionship", "romance", and "a last relationship" or any permutations of the above does not necessarily seek marriage. If he says he want fun, companioniship, romance, and a lasting relationship "eventually leading to marriage" he can be worked with.
However, you need to know what time frame he anticipates. ''Eventually" can mean one year or one decade. Then again, it can mean never.
