Too expensive

All of the above complaints could be true of any Internet site particularly those which are global by nature . I was a member for years looking for male doms . The fact the I only manged two live encounters one of which was 250 km from where I live shows that such a global site cannot deliver if live encounters are what you are after. I would advise joining a site active in your own area. Having said all this I personally find ALT very horny and great for webcam contact. I am , however, totally opposed to the practice of automatic renewal and the cost of ALT , even the most favorable of deals, is ridiculously high ........a good alternative is " collarme" on which I immediately found a suitable contact .

i'm a member at Alt.com now, but very short term. Here it is 4 years and 4 months after Melissa's message and things seems to be the same. Very slow. When I try to use the voicemail feature i can't even do a simple replay of the message i've recorded to hear it before sending. The feature is offered, but doesn't work. My computer is recent enough that this shouldn't be a problem. I think there are some non-pro, non-camsite women on there but still I'm wondering if there's a site out there which has better mechanics and therefore a hopefully bigger customer base. And better customer service wouldn't be bad. I have found some of the cr people to be helpful, but others to be really terrible, either because of attitude or language barrier.

Rip off

I rejoined Alt because a few years back I met two wonderful subs via the site, the problem I have now is that I am certain there are as many non existent profiles as there are genuine. The reason I am saying this is because both of my ladies left the site yet their profiles are still there word for word only now 'owned' by somebody registering as half their ages. I am convinced that this site has become a total rip off and would recommend people to avoid it as they take your money and give nothing in return.

Well I joined this site to find like minded people. What I found instead was a joke. The site itself cannot be blamed for fakes and losers, so I don't hold lack of quality playmates against them. However they are milking you for every penny they can with no real results to show for it. Perhaps some real quality control might improve the site for those real bdsm people out there I suggest finding a local munch instead of alt.com

I signed up there to blog and perhaps to correspond with one or two similarly wacked out persons. The community is fine, there is a mix of predators - males masquerading as females, and the like - and some genuine wothwhile people. Alt's layout is fine tuned to force you to pay money, or go nuts. Well, they have to stay in business.

Problem is, my interest is blogging, and the response time for blogs, which is minutes per click, would be unacceptable for a paying site, let alone for something I paid for. You have to log on four times, and have four mozilla tabs grinding away on different tasks, in the hope that one of them will complete at some future time without an error.

Do they really think I'll pay to renew for this non-service when my current subscription is up? Not too likely the way things are going.

ALT.com is a complete and utter waste of time. In the 5+ years I have been there, I have met very, very few people of quality. As well, the site is often slow or out and out broken. It's obvious the technology that runs it is antique and poorly done. Their domain name and pay for referrals programs are what keeps them in business.

It sure as heck isn't their customer service.

What I have met are quite a few people I can only characterize as disturbed. I've encountered a lot of flakes, fakes, wannabes, phonies and out-and-out liars.

The site touts itself as a "BDSM and Alternative Lifestyles Personals" site. The place is crawling with cross-dressers who are about was wanted as bubonic plague by either submissive or Dominant men and women.

Their staff lie through their teeth. They have no understanding of their market nor do they want to. All they want to do is milk the cash cow dry.

Many in the BDSM circle I travel call it, "Cross Dresser Central," and "Fakers Anaonymous." If all you want to do is j/o at your keyboard, this site is as good as any.

Keep your money. They're not worth a penny. They're over-rated and overpriced.
