The company is based in Miami Beach, Florida, U.S.A. Visitors are provided with a sign-up form upon entering the website. Visitors are then asked to fill up registration profiles with questions relating to personal preferences and general information. There are also choices of relationship types: marriage, serious, casual or friends. In addition, preferred languages also count into consideration when making the match.

In order to connect with other members, one has to create his/her profile, answer some questions, write an essay and upload a photo. After this, one can receive emails free of charge from other members. Subsequently, one searches for other members’ profiles in the search panel through many different preferences criteria. However, for one to communicate with the person one is interested in, upgrading to paid membership is a must. Only then can one send messages and chat.

Matchmaker has a mobile phone version of the dating experience in addition to its online version. People in North America can send messages through SMS or through WAP for convenience. This feature is available for registered members only.

The site offers services and features such as Instant Messaging with Video and Voice Greetings, email, as well as keyword searching. Matchmaker also sends weekly newsletters with topics and advices on relationships. Matchmaker is also affiliated with Date Info Magazine which tackles issues on dating and relationships. They also come out with weekly newsletter as well as relationship advices and tips to make one’s profile attractive.

Don't listen to the last two reviewers! MatchMaker is what you make of it.

Sure, AdultMatchMaker has more people and probably more fun, but if it isn't for you why not join me at MatchMaker? I like this site and won't be "better off using some other site"!

MatchMaker is nothing special. Join AdultMatchMaker instead if you want to be part of a great online community and have fun.

The MatchMaker site just plain sucks... period.

Matchmaker is a fairly basic dating service and I must confess you are better off using some other site like Match or something. Matchmaker just doesn't do it for me. Hardly anyone responds to your messages and that makes me feel that there really isn't that many active members on the site.
