Hot guys and hot times! WOO! There are a lot of players on Match.com but a player can always be played.
A have been on many real life dates with men I have met on Match and sometimes I had a great time, but like all other places, sometime I had a really boring time.
You should always be careful, ofcoarse.

Some of the guys on Match.com can be really sleazy, but there are also some really genuine people on there. I met my current boyfriend on match.com and I am very happy!

The ladies on Match.com can at times be very kind and pretty to look at (especially on dates) but there are a lot of superficial people on that site.
I am a humble country boy and I'm looking for a gentle little lady to call my own. Match.com is a good place to start... and I'm using it's search engine always.

Just saw a television ad claiming if you don't meet someone on the Match.com site in 6 months, those 6 months are free. That is a nice touch.

I met a guy, and he is a complete player. He is always on line and I am so sad because I fall for a guy hard. I was wined and dined, walked and talked, and you guessed it.. seduced. i am so scared now because he pulled off protection and I am worried i have a disease. I am so depressed feeling used and I feel like I will never meet a nice guy. I am afraid to post my pictures. I am feel like it is useless and that I should warn the girls on the site. I am scared now of men and I am so worried that I am sick.
#9 I paid for a six month membership on match.
sally on 05/30/2010
I paid for a six month membership on match.com. I constantly received matches with no pictures, which was very frustrating. My number one rule for meeting people online is they must have at least one picture to view right off the bat and more to come after that. I also filled out I did not want to have kids, but most of my matches definitely wanted kids. I wanted someone who shared the same faith and ideals and half of them were atheist. I have nothing against guys who want to have kids or who dont have the same beliefs as me, but when I’m paying for a website to find me the proper matches, it drove me crazy to have to filter through alllllll these guys every day who I would never be interested in.
I did meet a really incredible guy and we totally hit it off. We met on several occasions but in the end we didnt have the overall chemistry to make it a lasting relationship. Other than that, I had zero responses from guys in whom I showed interest, but that can happen on any site…it’s hit and miss!
with any website you have to be careful, so so so careful!! I can’t stress that enough. There are some people I just don’t think should venture into online dating. If you’re a poor judge of character (albeit, first impression is through a screen there IS a way to get to know someone a LOT just from emails and chatting), stick with meeting people face to face.
As far as recommending this site? I definitely think it’s the best paying website out there. I’ve spent hours researching the rest. But as for me, you’ll find me on plentyoffish.com. not because free is necessarily better, but because there are waaaaaay more users, the odds ARE that much better I could meet a serious potential mate.

I LOVE MATCH.COM!
There I said it. I know you can go on the Internet and read a ton of hateful reviews out there mostly from guys who have tried Match.com and gone down in flames.
And let me say this to all you haters out there, it’s not Match.com it’s you. If you use Match.com properly, and by this I mean write well written, well thought out emails, create a good profile that is not filled with self pity and hate, and work at it a bit you can easily go on two to three dates a week just from Match.com. I have created a blog which is all about helping out guys with internet dating. It has some tips on internet dating and of lots examples of good and bad profiles. Check it out at datingjoe.net
#11 Topix Match.com partnership creates safety issues
Matthew Walters on 12/19/2010
Bigger isn't always better. People choose their parties, their bars, their networks because they don't want to meet everyone. They want to meet the RIGHT one.
MATCH.COM partners with TOPIX.COM a controversial "news aggregator" which is part owned by Tribune, McClatch and Gannett but which allows unmoderated anonymous forums which are abusive, defamatory and even cyber bully and harass people.
The issue with Match.com is that people go to these forums to abuse, to hurt and to attack but the partnership with match.com will basically show the profiles of regular match members in these forums. This means two things:
a) If you are a match.com member, you are being advertised on an abusive unmoderated website. It could be about drugs, rape or sleazy sex gossip.
b) Many members of MATCH.COM got there through that same abusive website.
It is true that MATCH casts a wide net, but do you want them fishing in a cesspool for your next date?
This is a big issue and I urge daters to read more info here:

#12 Match.com needs a lesson in ethics
Anonymous on 12/26/2010
I joined Match.com and subscribed for 1 month. If Match.com was a reputable company, they would do the honorable thing and cancel a person's subscription after the one month period ends. This is not the case. Match.com does not cancel your subscription but continues to bill you month after month until you manually go into your account and cancel it yourself.
After being billed for a second month, I called up customer service and explained to them that I only signed up for 1 month and did not wish to be billed for another month. I continued to ask that my money from the second month be credited to my bank account. They told me that they have no way of keeping track of how long a person has been active for and it was in the terms of my contract before signing up. Therefore, they cannot refund my money for the second month.
Being the largest dating site in world, one would think Match.com has enough money to hire a computer programmer to write up some code that keeps track of this and sends out an email after 30 days (or however long a person signs up for) that contains a link that directs you to opting to cancel your subscription. It sounds to me like the technology is readily available, but it would be more profitable to the company if they keep this message hidden in the terms of the contract.
I am also looking in the Pros and Cons underneath the "Share Your Opinion" section. The 3rd con from the bottom reads "Cost to Much." It should be spelled "too." The sixth con reads "May Be A Bit Overhelming." Maybe if you payed a bit more attention to the details of your website, people would want to remain active members so you wouldn't have to come up with ways to scam them out of their money. It is overWhelming to me how the management of Match.com operate. It would be a great idea for them to take a class in ethics.
Match.com is run by a group of greedy and immoral people and highly recommend avoiding this website at all costs.
#13 Match.com is a scammer's playground
MrExcitement on 01/17/2011
This pathetic site is like a visit to a mausoleum. You can see pictures of the inmates in their better days but they're unresponsive. Actually, I think you can get more of a rise from the dead because they could be rotting and produce enough gas to make noise.
You can meet hundreds of scammers though. Check out their supposed towns in the west on Google maps. They're wide spots in the road and the scam artists have pictures, if any, of urban areas that they copied from another web site.
Match.com is a complete and total waste of money. It has just as many if not more scammers just waiting to waste your time with IMs as the worst on the web. They always want to switch over to Yahoo. Their profiles disappear in a matter of hours only to be replaced by more crooks.
Most of the women's profiles on Match.com are fakes based on my sampling. Of course, they get hundreds of hits because the majority are just there to give us the impression that there are actual women using this worthless heap of shit.
#14 I was on Match.
Lunovis on 04/10/2011
I was on Match.com for 6 months and I have never seen so many phoney-baloney plastic banana women's profiles as I did on that site. I give 2 hearts because the site is well designed but otherwise it was a maddening experience. This was my last profile entry, on the site for the last 2 months of my paid subscription:
"Having checked out the last 50 women's profile who viewed mine and just clicked on, I understand now why I do not get any hits. I have baggage. I have insecurities. My most masculine days are behind me. I am not beautiful inside and out, especially not out. I don't treat women like a princess. I don't love to laugh, laughing is not essential to me, in fact I almost never think about laughing, even when I happen to be laughing, and the obsession of the women here with laughing, frankly, drives me nuts. I don't give a rat's derriere about Tahiti, Sweden or Paris. I'm not a hopeless romantic and sometimes I fail to communicate my feelings. That is, when I happen to have any. Wine gives me a headache and golf makes me feel suicidal. Horses scare me. I love sailing though. Sometimes I go to bed angry. I am not "affectionate, grounded, even-tempered, well-mannered, kind, loving, empathetic, trustworthy, loyal, faithful, honest and humble" - I mean, that is just not humanly possible. I don't respect all religions and beliefs because I am convinced some are stupid. And no, I can't tell which one is you if there are two faces on your picture. "
#15 Not as good as they say
Anonymous on 04/15/2011
I was a member on match for 6 months, paid the whole thing up front. They say that they are so confident in you finding a match that if you still haven't met anyone after 6 months then you will get another 6 months free.
After 6 months I hadn't met anyone, had barely even had a reply. Now I know i'm not exactly Brad Pitt, but I'm not hideous either, kinda average looking. Yet getting a reply from anyone on there was pretty much impossible. It says to qualify for the free 6 months you have to have messaged at least 5 people per month, I was messaging about double that per week on average.
So no matches after 6 months, got my free 6 months, Still no matches. So unless your a good looking guy, don't waste your money on this site. Of course if your a good looking guy you probably won't need to use this site in the first place.
#16 another pay-site...
fdc on 06/02/2011
It really depends on where you live and what you look like. I was a member off and on. I got a few replies and conversations, but that was it. Local matches weren't that great and the rest required extensive travel. These dating sites are pretty much the same...average!
#17 Paid for harassment. Their policy allows anything in subject lin
Heidi loki on 07/03/2011
If only negative stars were only available. I finished my profile, two men had emailed me. I was happy, and paid my subscription. Imagine my joy when the subject line of the first email called me an offensive name. I contacted match.com. They stated the subject line is considered private and they do not have any filters in place. It is my opinion that paying for a site, should at least let me open my email account there without be harassed.
#18 Match.com is a waste of time and money.
Anonymous on 10/11/2011
I was on it for 3-4 months off and on and got 1 date that went nowhere and 1 Russian scam (which I fortunately didn't fall for) and plenty of "winks" from women I wasn't even remotely interested in. It's not Match.com, it's Ripoff.com.
#19 Hell ya Match!!
Anonymous on 10/12/2011
Honestly what I found out with dating is that people have really low self asteem. I'm not exactly a great looking guy but I don't care if ugly as hell. Most girls I know (and yes there hot) don't care what you look like. They want a personality. I've seen the dirtiest an ugliest guys get a crap ton of women because there put going, funny and whatever else. Another thing I noticed is that a lot of people bitch about there ex's and blah blah blah. Get over it!! Your there to find to find somebody new!!! Be confident about yourself, put some time into the site, watch your spelling and things like that an post some good pics. Girls are always posting slutty pics and guys post pics of themselves shirtless and there muscles showing. First off if you go after somebody like that then you deserve to get screwed over for being stupid. Just show normal and responsible picks and watch for people lying about there profiles and stuff. That's my opinion anyhow.
#20 match.com waste of time
Anonymous on 10/14/2011
Omigod do I agree! I'm not Johnny Depp, but I am certainly no Quasimodo either! I stay very healthy, work out and am very active physically, have a great smile, very caring and outgoing, work out and stay in shape religiously. The vast majority of the time when l e-mail women, I get virtually (and this is an being liberal) about a 5% response rate. I get a lot of "thanks..but" ha ha! I may get a few names, if I get to the point of getting a number such as a cell, it's virtually impossible to get any sort of a response. I've had one date, it was "OK," we got along fine, but no real spark, which is fine. I honestly do not know what people are looking for on that site...it has certainly been a total waste of time for me!
#21 unmatch.com

Half of the matches I get indicate in their profile that they want something (religion, height, race, etc.) different from what is on my profile. What is going on? What a waste of time and money.
#22 please be aware of 'artysportymark' on match.
Anonymous on 11/17/2011
please be aware of 'artysportymark' on match.com and pof. It didnt take me long to find out he is actually aged 34 not 31! and it seems all he is after is a one night stand, not a relationship. Wouldn't recommend going out for a drink with him and leaving it unattended either. You've been warned ladies!
#23 Be also aware of brianhk89.
Anonymous on 12/03/2011
Be also aware of brianhk89. He lies about his age there (among other things about himself) numerous times already changing it from 22 to 26 & down to 23. And the description he puts on there is probably not even written by him since his English actually sucks. Oh and he's also kind of a player. He'll pretty much tell you & every other girls what you want to hear. So if he says he likes you a lot & wants to be with you, don't take it seriously. He's flirting behind your back with other girls or is probably even in another relationship. Beware.
#24 Dangerous men
Anonymous on 01/01/2012
Met a Dr. on Match, seemed nice enough to begin with. He quickly tries to lure you into his swinger lifestyle, his favorite 2 men, 1 woman, and no condoms. He promises you he will love you deeply if you go there with him. He had a profile on a swinger site, with pictures of him having unprotected sex in threesomes. And he never stops trolling for other women. His is a dangerous psychopath, stay away if he contacts you.
