Perfect Match Review
Established by Dr. Pepper Schwartz, a sociologist, Perfectmatch.com is one of the leading online dating personal services in the USA. The Perfect Match website caters to people looking for friendship, dating or serious relationships. Currently, there are over three million registered members. Perfectmatch.com is a paid online dating service established by Dr. Pepper Schwartz, a sociologist. The site caters to people looking for friendship or serious relationships. Currently, it said to have three million members registered.
The online matchmaking uses their patented system called Duet® Total Compatibility System (Duet®). This system was developed after 30 plus years of research by Dr. Schwartz and her team. Perfectmatch.com has an advantage because of this method which is said to be scientific and analytical when it comes to matchmaking.
Through this Perfect Match system, the user builds his/her character profile and compatibility profile with other people. This system is said to compare and contrast members’ or searchers’ personality, values, preferences, and expectations to aid them in matching the couples correctly. The person can then choose freely to accept this pair-up or perform his own profile search in the website’s database.
Perfectmatch.com also offers its services to companies such as MSNBC, Lifetime Television, iVillage, Knight Ridder, Go.com, Warner Bros., Paramount and NBC Universal. In addition, the website has been receiving publicity through the founder Dr. Schwartz book "Finding Your Perfect Match", through television shows such as Oprah and Dr. Phil, as well as through Hollywood movies with dating as its background.

Perfect Match is different to all the other online dating websites because they go out of their way to make the online dating process pure.
They have a large community, and some nice people.
#2 I've used PerfectMatch to

I've used PerfectMatch to find my perfect match and I can say that in my situation it worked! I'm in a steady relationship with someone I met on the PerfectMatch.com website. I say take a chance and join - its free to create a basic profile.
#3 Rating

I joined for one month ONLY and my credit card got charged for a renewal without my permission. I found that there were very few quality "matches" for me. I might have given it a higher rating had they not slammed my credit card for a renewal after I opted for one month only...pretty darn shady. If PerfectMatch is so great they shouldn't try to steal renewal fees.

I do not like this site at all. Not only is the company greedy and misleading, the matches were terrible. The search feature isn't helpful since anyone can contact you, generally people you wouldn't want anyway. It was a big mistake for me to join this and can hardly wait until this fiasco is over.

#6 Worst Dating Site!
Anonymous on 04/21/2011
I joined Perfect Match a month ago and have not had one single quality match. Everyone they send me is in PA or 2 states away. I attempted twice to speak to customer service via their email, to which they just gave me computer responses about how to fix my location criteria etc. Did not matter, still kept getting the same issues. Matches in every state but mine. The site is a rip off. I would not recommend this site, at all! I have canceled my subscription and I have two months to go. Whats the point..I never get notifications about matches, etc. I joined Match.com and am much happier!
#7 PerfectMatch is a scam!

This dating site is the worst ever! No chat and no real people on there. Charges premium rates and you can get more for free. Don't waste your money. Join Match.com or if money is tight try Plenty of Fish. This site is a total scam! Dr. Pepper Schwartz? Come on! haha!
#8 I agree. the worst dating site ever.

when you finally receive their so-called perfect match, they don't measure up to any of your preferences you've indicated in your profile. it is a total scam. Doesn't even deserve a one star.
#9 seemingly phantom listings
john on 06/11/2011
I wrote to 8 or 9 women over a period of a couple of months, both ones suggested to me by the site as a "perfect match" (quite a bit of hyperbole -- "How about trying your luck with this one?" would have been more accurate and honest) and ones found through the search function. One woman briefly wrote back just to say she got my e-mail, but then did not respond again when I wrote back to her. None of the others ever wrote back. And no one ever took the initative to write to me first. I have to wonder if a lot of the listings are actually obsolete, but kept on the site anyway to fill it out. To think so many women would not even bother to write back with a diplomatic "Thanks, but no thanks" is too cynical a guess, even for me. I can think of no other possible explanation. Also: half the actual profiles were temporarily (?) closed, making them realistically non-existent. Many also had no photos and/or no personal comments, only the mechanical, multiple choice type answers allowed by the profile system. That may well be okay for a lot of people, but for me, a self description in one's own words is what delineates a person to me as an individual. The personality profile format used by this site sounds good in principle, but it seemed a little impersonal to me. But none of this really matters if people don't respond, or possibly never even receive the e-mails because they are no longer active members of the site. No, even imperfect, matches for me there.
#10 Poor Site

Perfectmatch? Do not waste your money on this site. Their data base is out dated and full of non active individuals. The only “hits” I've received were from foreign women wanting to sell “special” pictures of themselves. I’m disappointed that Dr. Schwartz has her name associated with this site.

#14 Disaster!

I have tried to get two previous messages posted to no avail, so I'll try again because I feel so strongly about how big a ripoff Perfect Match is! A one star rating is too generous. This is a scam, a disaster and buyer beware!!!
#15 A scam

A one star rating is too generous for Perfect Match. It is a real scam and the matches they send you are trolls. Buyer beware before you sign up for this ripoff!!
#16 very bad dating site

do not go to this site! rip off! they charged me 60 dollars for 1 month. and the site plain sucks. this site will not help you with your problems. it will make them worse. plain and simple. dont listen to the positive ads for they are people that are with the company.
#17 Best Dating Site!
Anonymous on 11/15/2011
I am absolutely shocked by some of the poor reviews of this site. I was thrilled with my results on PerfectMatch. I have tried other sites, but it felt as if no one was interested for a long term relationship. Everyone I met on this site was friendly and wanted to find someone they were compatible with. I am now with the love of my life and have been for a year and a half thanks to PerfectMatch.com. I think the real key to success on this site is knowing that it may cost a little more, but it is worth your money. Also the longer you are on this site the better chances you will have. You can't expect to find your one true love on the first match they give you....you have to look around yourself and go on a few dates...it took me 5 months to find Josh...worth every penny I spent!
#18 I found my PerfectMatch!
Ellie on 12/20/2011
I found my PerfectMatch on PerfectMatch (sounds cheesy) - but it really worked for me. This site is not a scam like all the reviews above say & while I wasn't attracted to ALL my matches I was attracted to enough to go on a few dates.
I thought the Icebreakers were a helpful tool to get to know others & I found that seeing your matches side by side really helped with reviewing similarities and differences (Cool Feature!). With my current fiance I remember seeing his profile next to mine and while everything wasn't the exact same I was able to figure out if he had any of my deal breakers.
I really hope others will give this site a try because it did for me and Caleb & we want others to find the same happiness we did.
#19 5 minute profile
Anonymous on 01/13/2012
Five minutes after paying for membership, my account was terminated and all access was blocked. I checked my email address and the company had sent an acceptance email for my photo and a -perfect match-. At the same time, they sent a subscription cancellation, but when I checked my bank account the money had been taken out and I had ABSOLUTELY NO access to the site. All this happened within 5 minutes. I tried calling the customer service number and, of course, noone was available - 3 times. After numerous attempts to log-in, I decided to file a complaint. The word SCAM is an understatement and quite honestly, a kindness, given the near criminal acts of this company/website.
