Zoosk.com Review
Zoosk.com is one of the newest additions to the pool of online dating websites. However, Zoosk is doing things a bit differently by introducing applications for popular social networking sites. In addition to interacting as a member on the actual site, users can download the Zoosk app to their Facebook, Myspace, or other social networking site.
In other ways, Zoosk is similar to other popular online dating sites in that some features are available to non-paying members. But you’ll get the most benefit from the site with a paid, or premium, membership. The site allows you to browse, search, and make your own connections. It also gives you the freedom to share as much information about yourself as you like with the “skeletal” profile option.
Zoosk has enjoyed overwhelming popularity with the online dating public since it launched in 2007. The site currently has more than 16 million users and in January of 2009, the site documented that nearly 100,000 members joined the site each day. Not monthly. Daily. They must be doing something right.
Features:
The most distinguishable Zoosk feature is the social network application. Zoosk gives users the option to continue their online dating efforts through their chosen social networking site, be it Facebook, Myspace, or other platform. Through this application, users can connect with members regardless of their social networking site. Facebook users can connection with Myspace users and so on.
At the free or basic membership level, Zoosk allows members to create a profile, respond to emails, and begin the browsing process. However, the majority of the features are made available once the member upgrades to a paid membership.
Memberships at Zoosk are available on six-month, three-month, or month-to-month terms. On a monthly basis, the monthly membership is $24.95. However, users can reduce their monthly cost by signing up for a three-month or six-month membership.
Searching for matches is incredibly easy with this site. Users can narrow their search for potential matches by political or religious affiliation, age, height, education, ethnicity, parental status, and more. However, the search function is limited when it comes to geography. Search results only show members with a 160km radius.
Like many online dating sites, Zoosk requires each member to upload at least one picture. Users also have the option of using a “skeletal” profile, which allows them to share only the most basic information before they fully commit to the online dating process. However, Zoosk users who also use the social network application will find that their site profile automatically users their social network profile photo.
Editor’s Opinion
Overall, Zoosk is a popular online dating site that gives users lots of control over their information, communication, and experience. It’s also convenient, allowing users to use the site through popular social networking sites.
Zoosk is also affordable and makes searching for potential matches a simple and easy process. However, the site has limitations in terms of geographical searches. It also leaves the matchmaking to the users. Members who have not had success selecting their own partners may want an online dating site that chooses their matches based on compatibility

Zoosk IS A FRAUD!!! simply, you as paying member are nothing but a marketing tool for Zoosk to get new paying members!!? As a paid subscriber you don't know who is a paid or a free member and non-members CAN NOT write back to you even if they wanted too until they join with a paid membership, so your either thinking there not interested but the reality is they can't write back to you and this sucks!! I demand as a full paying subscriber that all people on the site can correspond with me, this is just a pryamid scheme on the backs of the people there collecting money from!

i put up a page just to see what kind of interest i would attract. after several winks and looks from some ladies, i decided to become a paying member. i opted for the 9mo. for $99.00 thru my paypal account....that was 9/21. on 9/28 i came home from work and tried to log in but my password didn't work. after recovering and changing my password i was able to log in successfully only to find that my account had been deactivated. after reactivating my account i was shocked to find out that my paid member status was deactivated. i immediately emailed user support and was happy to get an almost instantaneous reply...until i discoverd that it was a robot generated repsonse!..getting the picture here?...long story short. i got screwed out of 100 bucks and theres nuthing i can do about it because the zoozk member support team ( if it even exsists) will not repond to my constant emails, and the phone number is bogus as well...stick with plenty of fish website!
